Retefine - Brotherhood of Man

The word retefine is a composition of the Dutch word rete and the English word fine.The Dutch rete is an expression for: very, much or exceptional, it indicates a superlative. Rete good is very good, rete nice is very nice.
It’s a popular, vulgar expression; it originates from the word ass: nice as ass.
In this composition the English component fine means: nice, good, beautiful, excellent, though it has more meanings.
The composition retefine is also an anagram for the name of the island Tenerife.
Tenerife is a Spanish island, situated off the Maroccan coast in the Atlantic Ocean, it is part of the group of islands called the Canary Islands. The island is visited by xxx (no.) Dutch speaking people annually, the number of English speaking visitors is: xxx (no.).

The composition retefine wants to express the alliance of these two groups of tourists on this island.
It intends to demonstrate the fraternization of people/man abroad, the brotherhood of man. It celebrates the glory of international exchange, and the fulfillment of the best life has to offer.

Extra meanings:
In Italian it is a composition of rete: network, trick, trap, road network and fine: end.
The composition within the Italian language itself produces: end of trick, trap, network. Nice.
As a composition of Italian and English: fine network, fine road network or fine trap. Using the secondary meaning in English of fine as penalty: fined network, fined trick and fined road network. Also nice.
Finally: the combination Italian-Dutch: very/much network, very/much trap, bad trick, bad road network. Too good to be true, though not a lot of Italian speaking people visit the island.

Retefine - Broederschap van Mensen
Het woord retefine is een samenstelling van het nederlandse voorvoegsel rete en het Engelse woord fine. Het Nederlandse rete is een uitdrukking voor: heel, buitengewoon of erg. Het duidt een overtreffende trap aan. Retegoed is erg goed, reteleuk is erg leuk.
Het is een populaire, volkse uitdrukking; de origines liggen besloten in het woord reet, kont: fijn als een kont.
In deze samenstelling wordt het Engelse woord fine bedoeld in de betekenis van: fijn, goed, best, alhoewel het nog meerdere betekenissen heeft.
De samenstelling retefine is ook een anagram voor de naam van het eiland Tenerife.
Tenerife is een Spaans eiland, het ligt voor de Marokkaanse kust in de Atlantische Oceaan. Het is onderdeel van de eilandengroep de Canarische Eilanden.
Jaarlijks wordt het eiland bezocht door xxx (aantal) Nederlandstaligen, het aantal Engelstalige bezoekers is: xxx (aantal).
De samenstelling retefine wil uitdrukking geven aan de verbondenheid van deze twee groepen van toeristen op het eiland.
Het wil een uitdrukking geven aan de Broederschap van Mensen in den vreemde. Het viert de glorie van de internationale uitwisseling, en van de vervulling van het beste wat het leven te bieden heeft.

Bijkomende betekenissen:
In het Italiaans is het een samenstelling van rete: netwerk, list, valstrik, wegennet en fine: einde. De samenstelling in het Italiaans levert dus het volgende op: einde aan de list, valstrik, netwerk. Mooi.
Als combinatie van Italiaans en Engels: fijn netwerk, fijn wegennet of fijne valstrik. Met de secundaire betekenis in het Engels van fine als boete: beboete valstrik, beboete list en beboet wegennet. Ook mooi.
Ten slotte: de combinatie Italiaans met Nederlands: erg netwerk, erge valstrik, erge list en erg wegennet.
Te mooi om waar te zijn, alhoewel de eerlijkheid gebiedt te vermelden dat niet zoveel Italiaanssprekenden het eiland bezoeken.
